Integrated Art and ESP Project in Ukraine

Abstract—The article describes an integrated art and English project for specific purposes on the topic “Academic Conferences” used teaching future Ukrainian engineers in winter of 2022. The finished right before war Ukraine began. sample size included 90 third-course chemical who study purposes. This investigated benefits engineers, role practices used, as well students’ perceptions project. Online questionnaires, observations interviews were used. results showed that improved confidence different conference-related skills had a positive influence professional language development engineers. Art made learning memorable, contextualised authentic. Art-related activities promoted communication fostered use 21st-century such cooperative, creative, critical digital skills. main hypothesis was supported effective due to combination project-based learning, enhancement integration, specially chosen job-related ESP connections. findings indicate overwhelmingly response from learners about this their interest projects. However, also revealed students need additional support developing XX time management writing working with authentic materials.
